What to expect

A conversation about your needs, timeline, and budget in order to get your bridal gown fitting you perfectly! This appointment is when we will discuss and pin alteration needs such as taking in size, raising shoulders, and hemming the length. If desired, we can also discuss customization needs such as modesty panels, adding or removing sleeves, and adding more decorations. There are a few things to keep in mind when attending these appointments - - I recommend booking 2-3 months before the wedding date (or travel date) to leave ample time for multiple appointments. If you believe the work needed is beyond standard alterations, you may book a month further in advance. - Please bring your gown to the appointment on a hanger and in a garment bag! I must see you wearing the garment to pin the necessary alterations. - Please also remember to bring your shoes to the appointment! - You will also need to bring all undergarments you plan on wearing on the day as well. This includes bras, shapewear, slips, crinolines, etc. - I allot an hour for these appointments. For most gowns, we will require at least two fitting appointments, as I prefer to pin the hem and bustles once the bodice and waist are a perfect fit. I do this to ensure my measurements are as accurate as possible. -If you’re requesting extra customizations, this may require multiple fittings. This is all normal and can be discussed more with your unique needs in mind. There is no fee required for booking! If you need to reschedule an existing appointment, you may directly respond to the automatic confirmation or reminder emails.
